Our menus combine the finest Scottish ingredients with a unique mix of Mediteranean flavours, tastes and culture. All our food is freshly cooked when make your choice.

Proprietors Karen & Rifat Aycan welcome you to Fern Cottage and hope you enjoy your meal with us.

If you are wondering why we focus on a mixture of Scottish flavours and Mediterranean spices, you may be interested to learn that Karen’s family have lived in Pitlochry since the early 1900s so she was delighted to come to live permanently in the town in 2002 to open a restaurant with her husband Rifat, who originates from Turkey. 

Rifat is also our Head Chef and has developed the menu to include as many flavours as he possibly can!  He is ably assisted by Andy, from New Zealand, who has been with us almost since we opened.

We pride ourselves on trying to cater for the individual which is why we offer so much choice but we also have Alison, who heads our Front of House Team, who will be able to organise any specific requests for any occasion or would like to add a personal touch to your reservation.

We try to source as much as we possibly can from our local suppliers who deliver every day to help us give you the best of ingredients
